Legion Ladies donate to Relay for Life

The Rainy River Legion Ladies Auxiliary held their monthly meeting on April 9th, with President Evelyn Bourre presiding.
Our new application for membership was approved. Minutes of the March meeting were read and approved. Treasurer Donna Ivall gave her report on the Auxiliaries finances. All accounts were presented and authorized for payment.
A donation was approved for the Relay for Life Cancer Fund. Also a donation was made to the Provincial University Scholarship Fund. A thank you card was received from the Rainy River Figure Skating Club.
Marlene has been doing her usual good job of conducting the Wednesday night meat draws.
A complete job of cleaning the kitchen and supply room was done by Ida, Rose and Ev Nelson and some help from Ron and Brent. It looks good. We have catering events coming up, so members make sure you volunteer to help.
We are doing a raffle of a basket of goodies for Mother’s Day. Get your tickets for this a the Club room.
