Working on fixing Veterans Charter

This week we commemorated the 70th anniversary of D-Day and the Veterans’ Affairs committee in Ottawa, of which I am a member, tabled recommendations to help rectify the shortcomings of the New Veterans Charter. The committee was unanimous in supporting the 14 recommendations, but much (much) more action must be taken by the federal government to improve the lives of Canada’s Veterans moving forward.
