It’s bass bustin time!

If you are looking for action the place will be Morson this weekend as the first annual Morson Bass International casts off.
Organizers have planned more than just a tournament for people of all ages. Things will kick off Friday morning with a pancake breakfast at 6 a.m. Anglers will leave at 7:30 on a hunt for some big bass and hopefully a shot at thousands of dollars in prize money.
Food and beer gardens will be available staring at 2 p.m. and weigh-ins will begin at 3:30 p.m. and be followed by a roast pork dinner.
On Saturday anglers will head back out on the water at 7:30 a.m. As of Monday there was 25 teams registered.
At noon the annual Morson Women’s Institute Craft Show/silent auction will take place and at 12:30 a kids fishing tournament will be held. Kids tourney prizes will be awarded at 3 p.m. under the big tent.
At 3:30 weigh-ins for day 2 will take place to be followed by a fish fry.
At 8 p.m. Yowza music services will entertain at the tent.
Anglers will depart at 7:30 a.m. again Sunday morning hoping to cap off the tourney with some big weights.
Face painting will take place for kids under the tent from 2-3 p.m.
At 5 p.m. the silent auction winners will be announced.
Food and beer gardens will be available both Saturday and Sunday afternoons and the weekend will culminate with the final weigh-ins at 3:30 on Sunday and prize presentations at 5:30 p.m.
