Owls bring home silver from NORWOSSAs

On November 8th the junior boys volleyball team took the court against the Atikokan Voyageurs in the NORWOSSA Semi Finals.

The boys started off slowly with two quick losses 25-14 and 25-18. Realizing that this was their last game of the season if they could not win this next game, the team woke up and sported two wins of their own 25-23 and 25-21.

The last game proved to be the boys best game as they came out strong early and crushed the Voyageurs 15-6 to earn a spot in the finals.

In the finals the boys came up against a very tough Thomas Aquinas Saints team that had already posted two victories against the Owls.

Once again the Owls put themselves in an early hole by losing the first two games 25-16 and 25-18.

The Owls once again picked up their game in the third set only to fall short 25-21 and finish the season with a silver medal.

The boys played strong all season and I am truly proud of each and everyone of them.

I was both thankful and honored to come back to RRHS and coach their volleyball season and would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the teams in a great year.
