Rene J. Boulet, 79

Rene Boulet passed away on February 3, 2006 in Chilliwack, B.C. after a brief illness at the age of 79.
He will be dearly remembered by all who knew him.
Rene was born in Swan Lake, Manitoba on February 10, 1926. On March 28, 1953 he married the love of his life, Dolores, and they were to be happily married for almost 53 years. Together they ran a restaurant in Winnipeg for fifteen years until October 1969, when they moved their young family to Rainy River. There they owned and operated the C.N. Hotel for twenty years until selling the business and retiring in October 1990.
Rene loved Rainy River and made many very close friendships there. He was very active in the community and sponsored several local sports teams.
After retirement, Rene and Dolores continued to live in the area for several years, enjoying their home on Wilson Creek and spending winters in Harlingen, Texas. In the summer of 1996 they moved to Chilliwack B.C. where they could enjoy Renes’ favorite pastime, golf, all year round.
Rene was a very kind and generous person, and he will be sadly missed by his loving wife Dolores of Chilliwack, B.C. daughter Sherri and grandson Sito of Vancouver, B.C., son Frank of Jasper, AB as well as two sisters and three brothers in Manitoba.
