Looks forward to more services

Dear Editor
As a resident of Dawson Township I salute my fellow citizens in Rainy River and their offer to share the cost of an upgrade in townships services.
I, and I expect most of my fellow citizens, look forward to the extension of town water, sewer, garbage pickup and other services to this community.
Of course, it is possible that the suggested amalgamation is simply an attempt to broaden the tax base of Rainy River, to reduce the per capita cost of services already enjoyed by the town.
We can only hope that such sinicism does not dampen the spirit of this new initiative by illuminating it with common sense.
