The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation announces its second National t-shirt Design Contest today. Open to all, it invites Canadians to translate their thoughts and feelings about breast cancer into this year’s look for two t-shirt designs, one for participants, and one for survivors.
“This year’s look will be worn proudly by nearly 200,000 participants,” explains Susan Fraser, the Foundation’s Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications, “in over 40 communities across the country at the 2006 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2006. The t-shirts, provided by Nygard, one of the national Run sponsors, are collected as prized mementoes for all Run participants, and they evoke the passion, commitment and emotion that the Run inspires.”
The contest closes Friday, May 26. Contest winners will be chosen based on artistic impression and an accompanying account of what breast cancer means to the designer. Designs can be submitted by mail to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Attention: t-shirt contest, 375 University Avenue, 6th floor, Toronto, ON, M5G 2J5, or by e-mail (tshirt@cbcf.org).
