RRHS students qualify for badminton NORWOSSAs

On Thursday April 6, the RRHS Badminton team sent 26 participants to Red Lake-Ear Falls for the NORWOSSA qualifying tournament.
Only the top 3 teams in each division advance to the NORWOSSA championships in Atikokan on April 12.
In the Junior Division RRHS will be sending 4 teams (8 people) to NORWOSSA
JR Girls Doubles
Kristen Moen / Molly Bartlett finished in first place going undefeated 5-0
Alyshia Langlais / Meaghan Jasper finished third going 3-2
Jr Boys Doubles
Danny Usiski / Nick Ashworth finished first in their pool and won their only playoff game to go 4-0
Jr Mixed Doubles
Peter Atkinson / Kate Bartlett went 4-1 to finish tied for first place
Senior Division
Sr Girls Doubles
Brittany Jasper / Corrissa Hanson finished in first place with a 3-1 record
Chantel Heyens / Hillary Heyens finished in third place with a 2-2 record
Sr Mixed Doubles
Joel Ashworth / Carling Nordin finished in first place with a 5-0 record
The other participants all played great but just came up short and they are Jordan Hansen, Regan Arnould, Mitch Seguin / Tyrell Mowe , Peter Singleton / Chris Jodoin, Chad Armstrong / Kam Kuzyk, Duffy Gulbrandson, Matt Morrison, and Marty Johnston / Patricia O’Connor.
