Police recover stolen vehicle
News Release
OPP
On April 22nd, at approximately 3:00 p.m. officers from the Emo Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police investigated the theft of a motor vehicle from a residence located in Watten Township. Shortly after 4:00 p.m. officers from the Dryden Detachment of the OPP located the vehicle at the junction of Highway 502 and Highway 594. As a result of that investigation a 13 year-old and 15 year-old female both of Watten Township were arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Break and Enter and Theft Over $5000. The two teenagers who cannot be identified will appear in court at a later date.
The OPP would also like to remind people regarding the use of electric and motorized scooters. These two-wheeled scooters often referred to as “Go-peds” cannot be operated on roads in Ontario because they do not meet the safety standards for on-road use.
