Della Finis Armstrong, 78

Della died peacefully at home with her family at her side on May 14th, 2006 in Rainy River, Ontario. She is survived by her children Donald of Rainy River (Sue), Reed (Angie) of Rainy River, Bonnie Crowe (Howard) of Shebandowan, Ontario, Wallace (Susan) of Rainy River, Glen (Lisa) of Rainy River, and Cheryl Kreger (Gary) of Rainy River. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Stanley Chamberlain of Loma, Montana, her sister Mae Chilgren of Eugene, Oregon, and grandchildren: Jeffrey Crowe, Nicole Blakeney, Tricia Beauguard, Aaron Armstrong, Amanda Lalond, Lanny Armstrong, Christopher Ernst, Natasha Armstrong, Brooke Armstrong, Michael Armstrong, Melissa Armstrong, Tristan Armstrong, Sam Ernst, Ron Ernst, Chad Armstrong.
She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Myrtle Chamberlain of Baudette, Minnesota, her husband Frank (Bud) of Rainy River, Ontario. Twin brother Delbert Chamberlain of Big Sandy, Montana, and sister Mildred Chamberlain of International Falls, MN.
Della was born in Baudette, MN on June 8, 1928. She moved to Rainy River with her husband Frank in 1947. Della was a lover of animals, especially horses. She hobby farmed for most of her adult life, and was a home body who cherished her time raising her children.
A memorial service for Della will be held on Thursday, May 18th at St. James Anglican Church in Rainy River at 10: 00 a.m. with Rev. Myrna Major officiating. Internment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Green Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
In memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Society.
