Sr. Girls win two days in a row

On Monday the RRHS Owls hosted Sioux Lookout court teams and finished the day with only the Senior Girls Volleyball team victorious.

The Seniors won 25-17, lost 25-12 and 25-12 and then won 25-19 and 15-11.breakThe Junior Girls lost three games straight after taking the first two 25-15 and 25-11. The final three games were close at 25-23, 25-18 and 15-11.

The Basketball teams both lost on Monday. The Junior Boys scored only 28 to the Warriors’ 46. James Thompson lead the Owls in scoring with 12 pts.

The Sr. boys lost 53-35 and Anco VanRozen lead in scoring with 12 pts.

On Tuesday both volleyball teams won and the basketball teams had close games against the Ignace Falcons.

The Senior girls won in five games, 25-16, 25-17, 18-25, 14-25 and 15-11. They are now 2-1 on the season.

The Junior girls won in three straight, 27-25, 25-20 and 25-17.

The Junior boys had a close game losing 54-49. Mark Heyens lead the team scoring 14 pts.

The Senior boys lost 55-45 and Travis Vandenbrand lead the team in scoring.

The next sports action for RRHS will be away games on January 9th and 10th.
