Letter to the editor,
In response back in the May 30th issue as well, I’d like to respond to “Lucille Kaliska’s” letter to you because I don’t blame her “one iota” for “NOT WANTING” the town to place “planters is it”? In front of her house “next year” because of certain vandals pulling them out “each and every year like clockwork” apparently. Now “I” know and “you” know: As I’m sure a lot of the rest of “Rainy River” knows as well: I used to “be” one of those vandals. “NO”: I’m certainly not “proud” of my past, but after reading that letter from “Lucille”: I “now” realize what an effect I actually “had” on people without considering “their” feelings “at all”.
Well I’m not 14 years old anymore. If “any of you trouble-makers” are reading the paper this week, peoples take my advice. Save yourself a lot of grief and pain, consider “other” people’s feelings “first over yours”: “NOW” rather than “LATER” in life, because “trust you me”: I may “only” have been doing this now for the past few yrs. myself, but I wish I would’ve started “Sooner” rather than “Later”. But I didn’t, and I was “still” lucky enough to have a wonderful family, friends and so on, (residents of Rainy River included): who we’re nice enough to give me a second chance.
I suppose what I’m trying to say here my friends is this: “DON’T LOOK DOWN ON PEOPLE UNLESS YOU’RE HELPING THEM UP”
