Dear Editor
Thank you for the article in the paper about the soccer program it was very
positive and highlighted what a great community Rainy River is for raising
children. I would just like to clear up a few inaccuracies.
Shannan Jonnason is also a volunteer coach but her name was missed in the
article and for that I am truly sorry. We could not run this program
without the volunteers. The Legion generously donated Soccer balls and
Soccer Nets not jersies. We could not keep the costs of this program done
without their generous support. Lastly the second picture was Kevin
Cunningham and Kevin Zhang, both are on the same team.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Tracy Moen and her team
of volunteers for the help they are giving at the wind-up.
This has been an exciting couple of years at the soccer field and I
appreciate all the support that has been given from the community. It is
amazing what can happen with a team of volunteers, a little hard work and a
lot of positive thinking. I can’t wait for next year.
