Sometime around 4:00 am, Sunday, June 25 someone went to the Lake of the Woods Cemetery where they illegally entered the office building and scattered the contents of a desk and cabinets throughout the office. In addition, vehicles parked at the property had windshields, windows, and headlights smashed, with another vehicle being lit on fire and burned.
In addition, remember we are still looking for information regarding the Bearskin Air flight that left Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 25th, 2003 carrying $10,000 in cash and destined for the Summer Beaver First Nation Territory in the far remote North. This flight made scheduled stops in Red Lake and Sioux Lookout prior to continuing onto Summer Beaver. The cash is confirmed to have been on the flight when it departed Winnipeg; however, the cash never reached its destination.
