New services available at RR MNDM office

The Rainy River ServiceOntario/Government Information Centre is making it easier for local families to get even more government services in their communities, Government Services Minister Gerry Phillips announced today.
“The initiative is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to provide more accessible, high-quality customer service to all Ontarians,” Phillips said.
The Rainy River centre is one of 63 now providing counter services for Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) products and information. Rainy River is also one of more than 20 communities in which MNR services are being offered where they were not before.
People can now visit one of 63 centres to get the following MNR products and services:
*Answers to general inquiries
*Publications
*Resident hunting and fishing licences
*Non-resident hunting and fishing licences
*Big game draw collection
*Big game draw transfers and replacements
*Temporary outdoors cards.
The centre also offers Internet access to government programs and services, online applications for birth, marriage and death certificates, health cards, social insurance numbers and free Government publications including the Ontario Parks Guide.
The Rainy River ServiceOntario/Government Information Centre is located at 408 Atwood Ave, in the Rainy River Duty Free/Sears building. It serves more than 2,700 people in Rainy River, and surrounding areas.
