Alice May Bernst

On Tuesday August 29, 2006 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Alice M. Bernst of Rainy River at the age of 76.
Alice was born June 24, 1930 in Rainy River to the late Paul and Margaret Paulson (Hovarka). She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends. Alice enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and especially dancing and singing. She was also a valued member of the Rainy River Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54.
Lovingly remember by her husband Harry, children Garry(Glenda) Halverson of Rainy River, Rhonda (Don) Dobransky of Ignace, Paul (Kim) Halverson of Rainy River, Laurie (John) Delvecchio of Steinbach, Manitoba, and Danny (Gwen) Halverson of Bergland.
Alice will also be sadly missed by her extended family, Chris (Brian) Sape of St. Albert, Alberta, Rhonda (Harvey) Phillips of Dryden, Judy (Reg) Bobian of Nanaimo, British Columbia, and Debbie (Dale) Moore of Morrinville, Alberta and their families.
Loved grandmother of Brian, Jason, Jamie, Lynn, Amber, Ashley, Joshua, Jacob, Joseph, Gionathan, Brayden, Kaylee and Chase. Alice is also survived by her sister Irene (Mike) Baranowski of Nestor Falls, and stepfather Tony Hovarka of Rainy River.
A memorial service was held at the Rainy River United Church on Friday September 1, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Barbara Miller officiating. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Rainy River.
