Owls boys make it to NORWOSSA curling

The Rainy River High School Owls were busy over the the past week with curling, basketball and volleyball teams on the road.
The RRHS Boys Curling team came home with top honours and qualified for NORWOSSA play in February. The team consists of Trevor Bonot, Matt Neilson, Kevin Nordberg and Jason Seguin.
The Junior Girls Volleyball team, who is ranked first in the NORWOSSA league, defeated the Red Lake Rams and the Thomas Aquinas Saints on the road last week.
The Senior Girls Volleyball team did not fair so well, losing a close one in Red Lake 3 games to 2 and losing 3 straight in Kenora to the Saints.
Both the Jr. and Sr. Boys Basketball teams lost at Red Lake and in Kenora. No scores were available at press time.
Home court action resumes this Wednesday when Whitefish Bay visits. Games start shortly after 10 a.m. with the Senior Girls taking to the court first.
They will be followed by the Jr. Girls and then the Sr. Girls will play again in a make up game lost to a storm earlier this season.
