Tymkin to run for RR Mayor

The race for political offices in Rainy River is still not a race.
Only one candidate has filed for Mayor: Ed Tymkin (currently on council).
Two have filed to run for council: Marilyn McAlister and Brent Anderson (incumbent). There are four seats open for Rainy River Town Council.
One has filed for School Board: Ron McAlister (incumbent).
All terms are four years, a change from the previous three year terms. Anyone wishing to run for office has until Friday at 5 p.m., Sept. 29, 2006 to do so.
