Political/Community Experience:
15 years municipal experience at the local, district and provincial levels. 27 years in educational administration. 15 years member of the Rainy River Future Development Corporation assisting and promoting small business and community development projects.

Why are you running for office?
There is a leadership vacuum and much unfinished business. I believe I am best qualified, willing and able to fill it. I will be a full time Mayor who will build positive attitudes to secure what we have and will focus on opportunities for growth that are readily available. I can and will strengthen improved communications with MP’s and MLAs, staff and the public.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing Rainy River?
Nurturing and maintaining an attitude of “Can Do”. Ensuring that a manufacturing plant remains and is operational in Rainy River – starting the sewer project this year – actively marketing retirement living and sale of surplus lots – challenging the Ministry of Environment to life restrictions on housing developments.

If elected what do you plan to do about it?
Emulate the spirit and work of our volunteers who are the real backbone of the community. There are numerous plans sitting in file “13” prepared by previous councils. We need to revise but mostly start “doing” and end making excuses and political blaming. The sewer project can be started and completed based on need now. Reserve funds are available for this.

Tell us about yourself:
I am an energetic and motivating individual who walks the talk and talks the walk. I believe in miracles but am pragmatic enough to know they need a little help to come to full bloom. Rainy River is still a jewel yet to be discovered by most of the world.

Do you have a plan or platform you are running on?
Yes I plan to share further details in the upcoming weeks and at the All Candidates Meeting on November 2nd. Again we need to complete past plans and consultant recommendations sitting in file “13” year after year.

Other comments about the election or yourself:
Together working for common goals we can do all the things like little things and we can learn to do big things like little things.
God Bless Canada. God Bless Rainy River and God Bless all who believe and fight to preserve right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
On Nov. 6 and 13 I respectfully solicit your vote for Mayor of Rainy River.
