George Trenchard
April 23, 1923 – October 27, 2006
It is with deep sadness that the family of George Trenchard announce his passing on Friday, October 27, 2006 at the Rainy River Health Care Centre.
George was born in Gameland, Ontario; one of seven children of Joseph and Dorothy Trenchard. Even though a quiet personality, George enjoyed a good laugh. He loved to read and never grew tired of acquiring knowledge. He will be remembered for his love of Traveling and of Nature. He spent many hours in his carpentry shop and his children will always have the things he made for them as a fond memory.
George, with his love of farming, purchased a farm in Sleeman, Ont. where he and his wife Adaline (nee Engebretsen) of almost 50 years, raised their seven children and lived the remainder of his years.
George was truly respected for his humble attitude, his love of the Bible and his unwavering faith in the resurrection promise. We look forward to the time when Jehovah will restore his life on earth and reunite him with his family (John 5:28, 29).
He will be missed by his wife Adaline, his sons Lawrence and Ken Trenchard of Sleeman, his daughters, Betty Miller, Diane Orobko, Sandy Markevich, Wendy L’Heureux and Christine Stewart of Winnipeg, MB, his twelve grandchildren and his many Christian "Brothers and Sisters". Also by his brothers Robert (Bob) of Winnipeg, MB, John Trenchard of Sleeman, Ont and William (Bill) of Winnipeg, MB. and his sister Jean Anderson of Toronto.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Dorothy Trenchard, sister Dorothy (Molly) Lenox and his brother Joseph Trenchard.
On behalf of the family, we wish to thank the Rainy River Health Care Staff for their care and compassion. A special thank you to all who were so very supportive of the family at this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 210 South East 4th Avenue, Baudette, Minnesota on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
