Hosp. Aux. plans holiday bazaar

Irene Hanson
Hosp. Aux.

Twenty one members attended our regular November meeting and we opened with the auxiliary prayer. The minutes were read and approved as was our financial statement.
In business from the minutes - Myrna Armstrong thanked all those members who came out to the pancake breakfast October 20th at 7 a.m. and participated in Bill Michl’s send off and other activities. Myrna sent pictures of the hospital and auxiliary members to be put in the H.A.A.O. public relations office. The Spring Conference for Region West will be at Rainy River, April 14th and the Legion has been booked for that event. We have received our Bingo Lottery licence and the first Bingo to be held is on November 17th at the Recreation Centre, doors open at 6 o’clock, early bird game at 6:30 and regular bingo at 7. There will be some special prizes (door, good neighbor etc). Some money and prizes have already been donated towards this, however anyone wishing to donate can get in touch with Myrna (852-3243) or Audree 852-1932 or Betty 852-1068. All proceeds from our bingo are for the CT Scanner.
Rose Tetu will look after making a plaque for the names of the people who have donated towards our Aviary.
New business was our Christmas Bazaar on December 3rd at the Recreation Centre from two till four p.m. There will be a penny table, perogies & cabbage rolls, door prize, draws and our raffle (2-$100 grocery certificates) along with other interesting items. The cost is $3.00 and includes pie, coffee or tea.
We closed our meeting with Myrna reading an article from the H.A.A.O. news letter on how to get your second wind. The suggestions were great, now to find the time to do it.
The meeting adjourned. Our next meeting will be a luncheon meeting on December 5th. The phoning committee will let you know where. See you all then.
P.S. Note the change of Date, Tuesday instead of Monday. Also we will be setting up Saturday morning the 2nd at the rec centre. Anyone bringing pies could bring them then, along with Penny table items if you have any. We are needing them too. We will be at the centre by 10:00 o’clock. Items for the Penny table could also be left with Myrna if times above are not convenient.
