High school hockey girls lose first game of season to Crookson

News Release
LoW School

The Lake of the Woods girls high school hockey team suffered a dramatic loss their first outing of the season.
“Needless to say, it was very much a one-sided game in Crookston’s favor.
Crookston came out of the gate at top speed and really set us back on
our heels. They poured it on early and often and created an
insurmountable lead,” said coach Mike Mosher.
LoW was beaten up on pretty good in the first period when they were outscored 8-0. Crookston added two more in the second and three more in the third. LoW’s lone goal was scored late in the game by Kristin Moen with assists going to Brenley Anderson and Katelyn Thompson. LoW lost 13-1.
“We are coming out of this game knowing that we have a lot of work to do, and our girls are up for the task!” said Mosher with confidence.
Their next game is in Baudette vs. Warroad on tonight at 5:30 and 7:30.
