Letter to the Editor
A big bouquet to all those farmers who stood up for their rights when the government tried to confiscate and destroy their property without so much as a single test to prove there was any contamination of their meat.
Another bouquet to all who came out and showed their support for both the farmers and the Peters family of Sunrise Meats. Especially to Manitou Rapids First Nation for their unwillingness to let the meat be destroyed and for their actions ensuring that it wasn’t.
This just shows how sometimes we have to stand up and fight for our freedom or it will continue to be whittled away.
