It was pure manipulative strategy

Dear Editor:
Winning the Liberal leadership by Stephan Dion might have fooled many television viewers as well as the delegates at the Convention but after the results of the second ballot was finalized before continuing to the third ballot it was obvious that Dion was going to be the new Liberal leader.
My assumption for picking him to win was when Gerrard Kennedy forfeited his chance and being relatively close to third place Dion could have gone on to the third ballot but instead gave his support as well as his followers to Stephan Dion.
To my recollection the contest was over without going to the third and fourth ballot, this definitely was the turning point in the outcome of the Liberal leadership race.
It was pure manipulated strategy to continue the trend of keeping the power within the province of Quebec where it has been since Lester B. Pearson reign as prime minister of Canada.
As previously mentioned in the past Letter to the Editor and quote:
Champlain might have lost the battle to Wolfe on the Plains of Abraham but he definitely is winning the war.
