With a larger turnout than last year it was much easier to fill all the spots on the Rainy River Cattlemen’s Association board of directors.
In Zone A Peter Spuzak was elected to a two year term. Both Tom Morrish and Harold Duivenvoorden have one year each left to serve in that zone.
In Zone B Darryl Angus and Allen Jolicouer were elected to two year terms. Clayton Teeple has one year left in his term in that zone.
In Zone C Mark Chojko-Bolec and Len Kuorikoski were both elected to two year terms. Jim McDermid was elected to a one year term.
In Zone D Doug Hartnell was elected to a two year term and Archie Wiersema was elected to a one year term.
There was some confusion between Zone’s C and D as they had not been realigned by the RRCA to reflect many of the amalgamated townships in the west end of the district. The RRCA said that it will take care of that problem this year and opted to go with the old municipal designations for the elections.
Elected to the position of Provincial Director was incumbent Archie Wiersema. His alternate will be Ralph Hunsperger. Tom Morrish and Russel Richards were elected to be delegates to the OCA convention along with the director.
A new president will be elected at the first board meeting.
