Give your family a smoke-free Christmas
Tue, 2006-12-19 00:00
Dear Editor:
Forty -four people die in Ontario from smoking each day.
This Christmas we want to encourage smokers to think of their loved ones and consider the fact that they are not only harming themselves but also others around them.
Children exposed to second-hand smoke have more ear infections and colds and there is also a increased risk of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome.)
Give your family the gift of a smoke-free Christmas by either taking it outside or making a quit attempt.
We wish everyone a Happy (smoke-free) Holiday!
Sincerely,
Natasha Dyck and Rochelle Jensson
Your local YAA Peer leaders working for a Smoke-free Ontario.
