Eugene Matthew, 69

On Dec 30th, 2006, Eugene "Gene" Matthew, of Regina, passed away at the age of 69 years, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Gene is survived by his wife Bunny (Leona Tremblay) of 47 years, the love of his life; three sons: Cameron (Michelle Wolbaum), Terence and Brian; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family; and his faithful companion K.C.
Gene received his early education in Rainy River, ON and his Civil Engineering Degree from Grand Forks, ND. His professional career began with the CPR and continued with SaskPower. In 1996, Gene retired as head of the Civil Engineering Department at SaskPower.
He had many interests, each pursued with enthusiasm: skiing, fishing, golfing, wine making, gardening, woodworking, stamp collecting and his "stint" as an actor for Partner's in Motion, and recently as a volunteer for the Federal Conservative Government. Gene was a member and advocate for the Regina Chapter of the Schizophrenia Society.
