A new year, a new column!

Kendall Olsen
Principal

The New Year is a great time to get a fresh start.
People often resolve to stop doing things that are harmful and to start doing things that are beneficial. The problem is, one day is pretty much the same as the next and so by the second week in January statistics tell us that the majority of resolutions have long been broken. So what is one to do if they have a good idea, one that would be beneficial, but it happens to coincide with the New Year?
Well I have often thought that having a regular column in the newspaper letting readers know about school happenings would be a great idea. That way everyone could be informed about school events and they would have an opportunity to better understand issues in education. It would also be a good forum to highlight student achievements.
In the weeks ahead the staff and students at Riverview and McCrosson-Tovell Schools look forward to keeping you up to date on the latest events and issues.
You just might find out what a P.L.C. is and why we have them.
