The Rainy River and District Chamber of Commerce (RRDCC) is embarking on an ambitious task to work towards a bigger and brighter future for the community and surrounding area.
Through the Rainy River Future Development Corporation (RRFDC) the chamber’s members are participating in a Business Retention and Expansion survey. Last Monday at the RRDCC’s monthly meeting members present were handed 43 page surveys to be filled out and returned to the RRFDC.
The survey asks everything from opinions on store front appearances and overall shopping environment to questions on whether there are enough service lots in town.
Once compiled the confidential surveys will be used to develop a strategic plan to respond to business needs, concerns and opportunities.
Fort Frances’ Chamber of Commerce recently completed a Business Retention and Expansion survey and presented it to their town council last week to help guide them. It not only identified needs in the community but also highlighted the strengths it already has.
Businesses wishing to participate in the study should contact the RRFDC in Fort Frances or call Chamber President Patti Palson.
