Council meeting moved to Friday

Rainy River’s Town Council, along with the rest of the town, were in the dark Monday evening.
The regularly scheduled monthly meeting of council was scheduled for 7 p.m. that evening. However strong winds, freezing rain and snow whipped hydro lines up and down Hwy. 11. At about 4:15 p.m. the power went off for a few seconds and a half hour later it was off completely for about 2.5 hours.
It came back on at 7:15. Council started its meeting at about 7:40 only to just start get into their agenda when the power went off.
Council adjourned, rescheduling to Friday at 9 a.m. at the Town Hall. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
