Olga (Kreger) Alexander, 89

Olga was born in Harris Hill, ON January 18, 1917 to Lena & Martin Kreger.
She passed away January 17, 2007 in the Dryden Hospital with her family with her.
She attended school in Spohn #2 where she made many good friends and often talked about the good old day.
Olga married Fred Alexander and together they raised their 8 children. They spent their early years in Rainy River, Fort Frances District. Fred worked in bush camps and Olga cooked & cleaned.
In 1946 Fred got a job working for Hammermill Paper Co. in Sioux Lookout, ON. Olga was always busy with her 8 children but when they were nearly all grown up they bought a grocery store and Olga operated it for many years.
In 1966 they sold the store and moved to Dryden, ON where Fred worked for Dryden Paper Co. Olga got a job at Ella Lynn’s Ladies Clothing Store which she loved.
In a few years she became manager and worked there until she retired.
Olga loved Arizona, USA and was able to spend 23 winters in her trailer there. Her door was always open to relatives, friends & neighbours.
In February 2004 her health gave her trouble and they had to return to Dryden.
Her hobbies were many, playing bridge, knitting, sewing anything she wanted to make.
She was famous for her many homemade quilts which all her children and grandchildren have many to remember her by.
Olga was predeceased by her parents, husband Fred, son Bradley and son-in-law Ray Realin, four brothers, Albert, John, Dan & Audie Kreger, six sisters, Ella, Tillie, Edith, Pearl, Annabell and Evy.
She is survived by her loving children Doretta (Dick) Glessing; Sam (Merna); Annie Jane (Chuck) Czinkota; Garnet (Ann); Charles (Mary Beth) Elsie Realin; Danny (Karen) 22 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, one sister Elsie (Bob) Ewald; one brother Bobbie Kreger; sister-in-law Mae Kreger of Edmonton, AB & Margaret Kreger of Bergland; brother-in-law Lester Ostman, Int’l Falls; Bill Esaw, Victoria, BC numerous nieces & nephews which all had a special place in her heart.
Funeral service was held in First United Church in Dryden, ON on January 20, 2007 at 1 p.m.
Pallbearers were grandsons Vance W. Alexander; Danny Bartz; Chris Alexander; Vance D. Alexander; nephew Robert F. Kreger; Kirby Ewald.
She will be sadly missed by us all.
