Former clerk suing Rainy River

After several weeks of trying the Rainy River Record has finally been able to obtain proof that there is a wrongful dismissal law suit against the Town of Rainy River by former Town Clerk Deb Bowman.
However, after contacting legal counsel for the Town of Rainy River lawyer Allan D. McKitrick said, “As the matter is presently before the Courts, we are unable to discuss it at this time.”
The case is currently being dealt with by courts in Thunder Bay. The McKitrick said, “We can advise that we are endeavoring to have it moved to Fort Frances.”
Bowman herself was in the Record office last week and told staff that when the matter is all over the paper will receive a press release.
