Lions Winter Carnival hits town this Saturday

This Saturday the annual Rainy River Lions Winter Carnival roars into town!
The day begins with the famous Lions Carnival Pancake Breakfast, which is free of charge for anyone wearing a carnival queen button.
All day Saturday there will be a minor hockey Mite’s festival open to the public to come and watch.
From 10 a.m. to noon the always popular kids’ carnival games will be held on the main level of the Rainy River Recreation Centre.
At 1 p.m. the anxiously anticipated moment the carnival queen candidates will arrive. Crowning of the queen contestant who sold the most buttons will take place on the upper level of the Rec. Centre.
The Just for Kix dancers will then take center stage and perform for the public on the upper level of the centre.
From 1-3 p.m. there will be family games and races which will be followed by a spaghetti dinner.
At 6 p.m. the doors will be opened for a $1,000 Monster Bingo.
