Another angler dismayed with RRWT

I am sending you this letter as I was a past participant in the RRWT tournament for the first time this past Sept.
I thought this was a great way to get out and meet fellow anglers and enjoy the stories of past tournaments and have a cool one with people.
To my dismay when I went to pay my fee for the upcoming year I was told that I was not allowed in this year as I was fishing illegally in the tournament last year.
I was told that I had gotten in on a technicality but weeks before the tournament I called a member of the committee and was told that my team was in.
We paid our money , we supported the community in every way possible ie. Hotel,fuel,meals etc. and this is how we are rewarded by being thrown out this year.
If we were illegal why were we allowed to fish.
They could have told me when I called and sent my money back or would I have been told this if I would have placed in the prize area.
I was also told that I should have received a letter telling me of my disqualification.
I still haven’t received that.
I am only writing this letter as I seen the other letter from an angler who was disqualified and thought I should do this.
This has left a sour taste in my mouth and if anyone should ask me about this tournament I would have no problem in voicing my opinion.
This letter does not reflect my feelings towards anyone I met or associated with in the tournament and I hold high regard for all the anglers and people I met during my four days there.
