Frieda Wagner, 97

Frieda Wagner 97 of Rainy River, Ont, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2007 at the Rainy River Hospital, Rainy River, and Ont.
Frieda was born May 28, 1909 in Germany. She immigrated to Canada in 1930 with her husband and two children. They settled in the Rainy River area, farming most of their lives and raised their four children.
She enjoyed cooking for her family and also her grandchildren. She also enjoyed growing flowers, her african violets, her vegetable gardens, and canning in the fall. She was a life time member of the Lutheran Church.
Frieda entered Rainy River Hospital on May 12th 2006.
She was predeceased by her husband Hans in 1994, her eldest son Fred, November 2003. Also by four brothers and three sisters.
Survived by her family Irene (Arved) Weum of International Falls, MN, Hilda (Ernie) McLeod of Fort Frances, Ont, Walter (Debbie) Wagner of Rainy River, Ont. Grandchildren Roger, Bob, Mark, Stephanie and Justin, great grandchildren Jason, Derek and Katelyn Strom, Connor and Ronan Ivall. Also survived by one sister Wanda Urban of Germany and numerous nieces and nephews.
A family service will be held on Wednesday March 28, 2007 from the Northridge Funeral Home, Emo, Ont. Rev. Carolyn Kreger officiating. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
Pall bearers will be her grandchildren.
