The Rec. Board needs your help to survive

Letter to the Editor :
On May 2/07 6 p.m. the Rainy River Recreation Board will be having their annual meeting. The Recreation Centre and the board who directs its operations is an extremely important part of life in Rainy River and surrounding area. Without our Recreation Board and without a functioning Recreation Centre we would be in dire straights.
-how would we attract people to our town
-how could we promote healthy life styles
- how could we provide a place for young and old to play and grow
The town owes those who have served so faithful on the Recreation Board’s in the past a huge “THANK YOU” from the people of Rainy River and Area. Their efforts will long be appreciated.
In these changing times we realize we need to re-think how we can utilize the Recreation Centre, how can we provide direction to young and old activities. We need you, the public, to come to this meeting with support, new ideas and suggestions.
Please come to this important meeting on May 2 at 6 pm at the Recreation Centre.
We will be having a “Pot Luck” supper together at 6 pm with a presentation, a Q&A session and Elections to follow.
