Stratton curler off to mixed provincials

Late last week Angela Lee of Stratton curled on a mixed team out of Thunder Bay at the District Playdowns and won a berth to the provincial championships.
Curling with Mike Assad (who went to the Brier with Al Hackner last year), Leesa Broder and Justin McCarvill, the team won handily and will compete in two weeks at the provincials, which will be held on Manitoulin Island.
Lee recently skipped a women’s rink from Confederation College to the provincial championships and in her high school career played on the first ever OFSSA championship for girls for Rainy River High School. That was in 1999 and now she continues to curl her way to the top and hopes to make it to the Scott Tournament of Hearts some day.
