Jane Burnell (nee Brouillette), 91

"Jane" Marie Jeanne Amanda passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18th, 2007 in her 91st year at the Thunder Bay Interim Long Term Care Home.
Jane was born in Vassar, Manitoba on November 9, 1915. She was united in marriage to "Bud" Oscar Burnell on November 3, 1937 in Sioux Lookout, Ontario.
She was predeceased by her parents Emery and Ida Brouillette, her husband Bud in 1979, infant son in 1947, and her son Buster in 1999. She was also predeceased by her siblings Henry (1932), Armand (1969), Alex (1970) Arthur (1991), Paul (1944, Alphonse (2006) and Adrian (2006).
She is survived by her daughters Eloise (Jack) Kingswood of Penticton, B.C; Simone (Roy) Diana of Thunder Bay, ON, daughter-in-law Cindy (Jim) of Kenora, ON; and her son Art Burnell of Sioux Lookout, ON. Also surviving are sister-in-laws; Pat Brouillette of Sioux Lookout, ON, Betty Brouillette of Toronto, ON; Nina Brouillette of Watson, Sask; grandchildren Mark (Stacy) of Winnipeg, MB; Tiama (John) of Houston, Texas, Kevin (Michelle) of Thunder Bay, Jodey of Thunder Bay, Rick (Karen) of Thunder Bay, Cindy (Steve) of Thunder Bay, Vada (Larry) of Thunder Bay, Warren (Jill) of Kelowna, B.C; Jennifer of Kenora, Joelle of Thunder Bay, 20 great grandchildren, special nieces Fran Faragher and family of Rainy River, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in both Canada and the U.S..
Jane lived in numerous places such as Ghost River, Wycliffe, Fowler, Robinson, Aloona,
Mabella, Huronian, Keego and last Rainy River. She was a member of the Senior citizens Council at Lake of the Woods, Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Major Hughes Branch 54 in Rainy River, Past President of the Catholic Women’s League in Rainy River and Past President of the Atwood Women’s Institute in Rainy River
Cremation has taken place.
Vigil prayers will be offered on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Rainy River.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Rainy River. Father Dan Debano will officiate followed by interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River.
