Ruth Christina Hendrickson, 91

Ruth passed away peacefully in the Cowichan District Hospital on June 7, 2007. She was born on Sept. 13, 1915 in Bergland, Rainy River District, Ontario, where her parents were among the first settlers. She has lived for the past eight years in Duncan Manor, after moving from Vancouver. Predeceased by her parents and three brothers, she is survived by her sister, Anne (John) Mair in New York State, sister-in- law, Lynn Hendrickson, in Rainy River, nephew, John Hendrickson, in Fort Frances and numerous other relatives.
Ruth’s interest in all her friends and relatives was a wonderful asset in connecting our far-flung family. Her innate friendliness and inquisitive mind continued until her final illness. Her passion for Scrabble, crosswords and sudoku will be remembered by all.
A Celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at the Clements Centre, 5856 Clements St., Duncan, BC at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 30.
