The Rainy River Record received word early Friday morning from the Northwestern Health Unit that the latest water samples at Hannam Park are good.
The beach was closed last week due to high ecoli (bacteria) counts. However, tests taken this week have shown the levels to have dropped off significantly which is great news for citizens as temperatures are expected to climb this weekend.
It is also good news for organizers of the Great Beaver Boat Races on Sunday.
