Great Beaver boat race another huge success

Letter to the Editor,
On behalf of the Great Beaver Cardboard and Duct Tape Boat Race Committee of the Rainy River Recreation Board, we were delighted with the very successful completion of another year celebrating this Fun Family Event. Although the number of entrants was down this year, everyone still had a great time and our participants put on a spectacular show as evidenced by the broad smiles and gales of laughter.
We look forward to continuing the event in 2008 and urge everyone to participate. Get thinking about your designs now. It costs next to nothing and delivers much.
As well as the great participants we would like to express our gratitude to our sponsors who supplied materials and trophies: 3M, Norampac, and Fort Frances General Supply. There are also a whole bunch of loyal volunteers including Gerry Jolicoeur, Doug Giles, Gordon Prost, Bob McGreevy, Eltjo and Archie Wiersema, and Josh Wilson. Without them this event would never happen.
Next year- Same time! Same Place!
