I am very proud to live in Rainy River

Dear Editor,
About a month ago I had the privilege of finding out how supportive the business people are in this small town.
I was involved in the fund raising for the benefit for the Rod and Nikki Sinninghe family. My job was to collect items for the penny table and silent auction.
It was an overwhelming response from everyone. I even had private people calling me wanting to donate or asking what they could do to help. It is amazing to see the support people have for this family and others as well.
I have to say I am very proud to live in a community as helpful as this one. I also want to thank everyone who helped at both fund raisers. With out you the events would have not been a success. Your generosity was very much needed and appreciated.
Rainy River is a giving community and you all deserve a pat on the back. Thank you again very much.
