Kenneth Arthur Johnson, 93

Kenneth Arthur Johnson, 93, of Rainy River, Ontario passed away peacefully at the Rainy River Hospital on Saturday, September 1, 2007.
Ken was born on July 13, 1914 in Monmouth, Illinois to Theodore and Alma Johnson. He was united in marriage to Mary Catherine St. Ledger on January 4, 1941 in Milwaukee, Ws. Together they moved to Canada in 1973 settling in Rainy River in 1978. Ken was a veteran of World War II and following the war was a dance instructor in Chicago. He loved teaching his girls to dance as they grew. Ken also enjoyed farming and gardening; many people in Rainy River enjoyed his beautiful flower arrangements. He was very active in his church. He was a devoted father and grandfather, who thought the world of his family.
Ken leaves behind his daughters Juliana, Rosemary, Theresa, Barbara, Cathy, Loretta and Vivian; sons Edward, Jerome and Vincent; 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; wife Mary on May 22, 2003 and son John (Jack) Johnson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Father Dan Debano will officiate followed by interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River.
Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.
