If you truly care then be there

Letter to the Editor:
We’ve all heard, from time to time, the carping about the perceived level of OPP coverage or lack thereof in our area. I include myself, and may well ask questions again, as is our right. However, fair is fair! We cannot, in good conscience, continue to bury our heads in the sand and allow witnessed acts of vandalism etc. to go unreported, for whatever reason. It is high time that we stand up and be counted. This is, after all, our town and we should be willing to protect it. Without our cooperation the O.P.P.’s hands are tied.
An opportunity for change has presented itself. OPP Constable Doug Irish will be discussing the set-up of a Neighbourhood Watch Program on Thursday, October 18th at 7 p.m. in the new Drama Room at the Rainy River High School.
If you truly care be there. Let’s demonstrate that we are willing and able to work as part of a team! United we stand! Divided - same old, same old!
