Feeling very lucky in love

Just what is the proper way to propose to someone?
Most guys have heard the good old drop to one knee and ask. It is somewhat traditional, but the same thing from guy to guy.
Last week I decided that I was ready to ask my girlfriend, Kim, if she wanted to get engaged, and was torn between tradition and trying to come up with something more original.
Having both been married before the down on one knee thing was not going to cut it.
So I contemplated and contemplated. My first choice was to go to her work and ask her if she was busy right then. And if she said she wasn't I was going to ask her if she would be busy for the next 40 years or so.
But as it turned out she was very busy with a customer and I got cold feet and decided to go to plan B later that evening.
I had purchased two lottery tickets on the way to Bemidji Friday and thought if plan A did not work I would ask her if she was feeling lucky in love.
Holding the two tickets, which I took from my left front sweater pocket, I asked her if she was lucky in love and to choose a ticket. She did. But she was not quite catching onto what I was leading up to.
I told her my right pocket was even more lucky in love and pulled out a ring. I again asked her if she was feeling lucky in love and if she would marry me.... she said yes!
We both are very happy feel very lucky to be in love!
