Men’s fastball to return to Rainy River tonight as Barwick visits

Tonight will mark the return of men’s fastball to Rainy River as the Rainy River Legion takes to the field against Barwick.
It has been several years since fastball teams thrilled crowds in Rainy River and it promises to be a good season with teams in Rainy River, Pinewood, Stratton, Barwick, Big Grassy, Big Island and two in Fort Frances.
Games will run Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. and are open to the public. In exhibition play last week Rainy River defeated Pinewood.
The schedule for the season is as follows:
May 14: Barwick at RR, Pinewood at Couchiching Bulldogs, Big Island at Big Grassy, Sight and Sound at Hyatt’s and Stratton has a bye.
May 16: Bulldogs at RR, Strat. at S&S, BG at Bwk., Hyatt’s at BI, Pinewood has the bye.
