Yet another dog attack: something needs to be done

Letter to the Editor:
Beware all you little doggies.
There is a big mean brute of a dog out there.
My name is Cookie. I love to go outside, play and be friendly with people. Well Tuesday night my mama let me out to do my mother nature job before going to bed. While out there I was attacked and my mama didn’t know. She let me in. I went straight to bed. During the night my mama heard me crying and didn’t know what was wrong.
Next morning me mama went to give me a bath when she touched my bad hurting area. I bit my mama. She put me down. I started to shiver badly and my mama got my nice warm blanket my favourite warm one. She went to wrap me with the blanket and pick me up. I hurt so bad I bit my mama. I felt so bad I put my head down as I do when I get heck and licked her hand.
My sister came to the house. There was some blood on the door steps. We looked and there were big dog tracks in the yard. We figured a big dog had to have attacked her but did not know. Bill our good neighbour was pushing snow. We told him of Cookie for she loved to greet him and he always pets her. We told him she must have got attacked by a dog. He said he seen dog tracks come in our yard.
Well out of this my mama had to go to the hospital for treatments for her finger.
My mama cared enough to take me to the vet to see what was wrong. The vet examined me and took ex rays. A big dog had attacked me and now I have to go to my doctor.
Mama and I are both on antibiotics and visits to the hospital.
I had to be reported to the health unit for I bit my mama because I was hurting so bad, because of this loose mean big dog at large. I wonder how this mean dog would like it if a bear came into the yard and rolled him over on his belly and took a good big bite out of him.
Please people let’s have a neighbourhood watch to protect our little dogs out there. Report it if you hear or see dogs being attacked. We have to protect our little dogs.
This big dog knows what he is doing. He rolls them on their tummy and bites hard, his front teeth bites were close to her spine and the bottom bites were at her tummy. Something needs to be done.
