If you had marked the date down for the 2nd Annual Rainy River Chamber of Commerce Trade Show, you will have to revisit the calendar and change it to April 26th. That is two weeks earlier than originally planned.
Community Coordinator Anthony Mason said the reason for the switch was to avoid conflicting with another event being held elsewhere in the district.
At present the chamber is soliciting people to participate in the show. They are renting out booths, which will be on the Rainy River Arena floor. Chamber members will get a preferred rate for the show, but others can join the chamber and still get the preferred rate. If not they can pay a slightly higher booth rental fee.
The chamber is planning to incorporate several other activities into the show which runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entertainers will be on hand as well as food booths, classic cars and plenty of prizes. That coupled with a full house of exhibitors, organizers are confident that the public will have an enjoyable as well as learning experience at the 2008 trade show.
People wishing to rent a booth can contact Anthony Mason at 852-3978 or via email at amason1@tbaytel.net. Deadline to register a booth rental is April 21st.
