Fly be free!

If you were a kid or teen in the late 1970s or early 1980s you likely remember how famous actor/comedian Robin Williams got his start in the entertainment world.
The multi-season hit series Happy Days featured a visit from an alien known as Mork from Ork... played by Williams.
His quirky "Nano-Nanooo" greeting and invented swear word "Shazbutt" helped propel him to multiple appearances on that show and then eventually to his own series called Mork and Mindy.
One of the very first things viewers learned was that Mork travelled to Earth in his unique space ship that looked like a giant sized egg.
As he began to explore life on Earth with Mindy he one day found eggs at her house. His first reaction was that they were smaller versions of his space ship trapped in a carton.
Mork promptly picked them up one at a time and threw it into the air saying "Fly be free!" Of course gravity overpowered his propulsion of them and the promptly splatted on the floor.
Over the weekend I felt a similarity between his "Fly be free" eggs and my opening the windows to let house flies out that had dropped from the attic.
I opened the window and said "Fly be free" and they obliged me flying away... well at least as far as Mork's eggs did.
The flies left the warmth of the house and flew about fifteen feet and then the cold got them. They dropped to the ground but probably did not splat as there is soft snow to break their fall.
–Until then,
