Pinewood Bears won two games last week

The Pinewood Bears had a great week in the Rainy River District Men’s Fastball League.
On Tuesday they hosted and defeated Rainy River Legion 9-6. It was a slug-fest with the Bear’s Kyle Langlais and Lonnie Nielson cranking three out of the park (Kyle had 2). Donnie Gall also put one over the fence early, only to be walked the rest of the game.
The winning pitcher was Kyle Langlais and the losing pitcher was Murray Armstrong.
Then on Thursday the Bears travelled east to Stratton. This game was a pitcher’s dual with Pinewood coming out on top again with 7 runs to Stratton’s 6. The winning pitcher was Clint Armstrong. The losing pitcher was Chris Pollard. There were no home runs.

May 21st
Emo Bulldogs beat Barwick 11-5. The winning pitcher was Warren Voth and the losing pitcher was Matt Gamsby. Shane Bliss hit two homeruns and Don Copenace hit one.
Big Island defeated Stratton at home 5-4. Winning pitcher was Carl Big George-Jr. Losing pitcher was Curtis Berg. Leland Indian hit the only homerun of the game.
May 23rd
Barwick beat Hyatt’s Const. 12-2. Winning pitcher was George Oltsher. Losing pitcher was Percy Legard. Travis Derksen (2) and Wade Stang (1) hit homeruns for Barwick.
At press time no other results were in for the 23rd except that the game between the Bulldogs and Big Grassy was cancelled due to the weather.
